Description:

The EC-II is a low cost Wireless Ethernet Converter that supports any BiGi-Fi or Agere 802.11b WLAN card, (ordered separately). This includes the OEM WLAN card from Agere with external antenna connectors. With a WLAN card installed the EC-II allows for wireless connection of Ethernet serial devices to any 802.11b Access Point. It is ideal for Wireless Internet Access applications, both indoor and outdoor.

The device is available in two versions: Standard and Power-over-Ethernet (POE). The Standard version has a power jack on the rear of the box. The POE version includes a DC injector that enables the EC-II to be remotely located with the power provided over the Ethernet cable.

When used with BiGi-Fi high gain antennas and amplifiers, line-of-sight ranges over 30 miles are possible! The EC-II is FCC certified for license-free operation when used with approved Wireless LAN cards.
